Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy in Domme. Her parents as a dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for theater and drama at an early stage. This support is more than enough for Audrey to combat her goal of becoming a an animal scientist. When she was a teenager the rise to fame was rapid and marked with early recognition and success. In 1998, after completing her studies, she was able to take part in Jeunes Premiers, a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to pursue a professional career as an actor. Tautou is a pupil of her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and was a student there from the age of a child but has sworn off her Catholic upbringing. She now claims to be a non-Catholic. In addition to her acting work, she is also pursuing modeling. The model was for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". Photography is another hobby and she has recently displayed her work at the Arles festival under the name Superficial. In her photographs, she is mainly focused on celebrities and the spotlight. The camera is turned towards journalists who scrutinized her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's first big role, as Amelie Poulain's leading actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie, landed her international stardom. Amelie was a box-office international success, and received accolades during awards ceremonies across the world. It's the highest-grossing French film in America. Following the film, she appeared in many films that ranged from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and was in the film with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
