Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy in Domme. Her parents as a dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for theater and drama at an early stage. This support is more than enough for Audrey to combat her goal of becoming a an animal scientist. When she was a teenager the rise to fame was rapid and marked with early recognition and success. In 1998, after completing her studies, she was able to take part in Jeunes Premiers, a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to pursue a professional career as an actor.
