Mary Marg Helgenberger is an American actress. Her birth date was the 16th of November in 1958. She started her acting career in the early 1980s. She became famous for the role she played as Siobhan Ryan between 1982 and 1986 on the daytime drama Ryan's Hope. The most famous role she has played was Catherine Willows, a CBS procedural drama. Crime Scene Investigation (2000-13) and then the follow-up TV movie Immortality (2015). The role was reprised in The sequel Vegas (2022-present). Helgenberger was also well-known for his performance as K.C. Koloski for the ABC series China Beach (1988-91) which was the reason she won her the 1990 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. Other credits are the TV series Under the Dome (1998) as well as Intelligence (1995) along with as films Species (2000) Erin Brockovich (2000) and Mr. Brooks (2007). She is the eldest of four children. McCain completed her schooling at Phoenix Country Day School. Phoenix Country Day School and Xavier College Preparatory an all-girl private Catholic high school. In 2007, she received an undergraduate degree in Art history from Columbia University. In 2017, she joined The View, a daytime talk show The View where she co-hosted until 2021. She earned Four Daytime Emmy award nominations for her work. She also has other endeavors. McCain became a columnist for The Daily Mail newspaper after her three years on The View. McCain is also the author of four books: Dad John McCain, My Dad John McCain, Dirty Sexy Politics and America You Sexy Bitch.
